How will I be updated about my child’s day?
We believe parents should never feel in the dark about their child’s day. That’s why Playto uses a secure parent communication app (Brightwheel) to keep you updated in real time. Throughout the day, our teachers post timely updates and details about your child’s activities and care routines. You can expect to receive notes about all the important things: for example, exactly what and how much your little one ate at snack or lunch, how long they napped, and when their diaper was changed or if they used the potty. We’ll also share photos and even short videos capturing special moments – maybe a snapshot of your child finger-painting with a big grin, or a quick video of them clapping along in music time. These peeks into their day can really brighten your day!
You’ll typically get a flurry of updates by pick-up time, and you can check the app as often as you like. Many parents enjoy seeing updates during their lunch break or whenever they miss their child. In addition to routine logs and fun media, if anything noteworthy happens (like your child said a new word, or we started a new lesson theme), we’ll include that in the daily notes. And of course, if there’s ever an urgent issue or something we need to discuss privately, we’d call you directly right away. The bottom line: we aim to “over-communicate” so that you feel connected to your child’s experience at Playto. By the time you pick them up, you’ll already know a lot about what they did, which makes it easier to talk about their day and continue the learning at home. We want you to share in their milestones and silly moments, even when you can’t be there in person.
