Is there a waitlist, and how does it work?
Due to high demand, many Playto centers do operate with a waitlist for enrollment, especially in certain age groups (infant spots, for example, tend to fill up fast). Here’s how our waitlist typically works: If you’re interested in enrolling but there isn’t an immediate spot available for your child’s age group or start date, we will offer to place your child on the waitlist. We’ll gather your family’s information, the desired start time, and the schedule you need (e.g. full-time or specific days).
As space becomes available – which can happen when children graduate to the next classroom, families’ schedules change, or someone moves away – we turn to our waitlist to fill openings. Generally, it’s first-come, first-served, but we also consider the compatibility of the opening with your needed schedule. For example, if a full-time spot opens in the toddler room starting in September and you were the first family waiting for a full-time toddler spot around that time, we’ll reach out to you immediately. We do our best to be fair and transparent in this process. You are always welcome to check in with us for waitlist status updates. Additionally, if your plans change after being on the waitlist (say you found alternative care or your start date shifts), just let us know – it helps us keep the list accurate.
While on the waitlist, we’ll stay in touch periodically (especially as the desired start date gets closer) and as soon as we anticipate or have a confirmed opening, we will contact you right away. We know waiting can be hard, but we promise to communicate openly. And please feel free to tour and join the waitlist even if your need is a while out – some families get on waitlists many months ahead. We appreciate your patience and interest in Playto, and we can’t wait to welcome your child as soon as a spot is available!
