What is a typical day like for an infant at Playto?
A typical day for an infant at Playto is filled with warmth, play, and plenty of care. For example, an infant’s day might look like:
- Morning Welcome & Breakfast: Arrival and breakfast time, with one-on-one cuddles and gentle interactions to start the day.
- Circle Time: A short circle time with friends and teachers, featuring stories, songs, and fun bubble play (all at an infant-friendly level).
- Nap Time: A cozy morning nap when the baby is ready, in a quiet and comfortable crib.
- Sensory Play: Late morning activity guided by the teachers – this could be sensory exploration (like touching different textures or water play) or a simple art activity appropriate for infants.
- Lunch/Bottle Feeding: Midday feeding and quiet time. Infants have bottles or soft foods according to their individual feeding schedules, with lots of snuggles and care.
- Outdoor Stroll: Some fresh air with a stroll outside in the buggy (weather permitting), or outdoor time on a blanket where babies can look around and enjoy nature.
- Afternoon Nap: Another nap in the early afternoon, as needed, so babies get the rest they require.
- Afternoon Play: More gentle play and exploration after nap time – this might include tummy time, exploring soft toys, music, or one-on-one teacher interaction – until it’s time to go home.
Throughout the day, our infant teachers follow each baby’s individual cues and schedule. We prioritize feeding, sleeping, and play times based on each infant’s needs, so the exact timing may vary for each child. Flexibility, comfort, and attentive care are the hallmarks of our infant program.
